Overhead Door Company of Greensboro™ was opened in 1972 in a small warehouse off Westover Terrace. The family run business expanded to become the leading authority of garage doors and openers in the Greensboro area. After the first five years, we outgrew our limited space and moved to a 10,000 square foot facility on Atwell Avenue. The business continued to grow outside the Greensboro area and expanded through out the Triad and Southern Virginia offering residential and commercial garage door products along with 24 hour emergency service.

If there is a nicer, more likeable man in the world, I've never met him. I would call back and ask for him every time.  Five stars aren't enough for the service I received.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I called Overhead Door Company of Greensboro early in the morning after realizing my garage would not open. The dispatcher was very polite and concerned about my situation. There was a team at my house around lunch time that day. The two guys assessed the problem and had the repairs made in a very short period of time. When they finished the repair I noticed one of the guys hitting all of the door rollers and hinges with oil which I thought was a nice touch that would often go unnoticed. The repair ticket was presented and explained to me and then they were on their way. I would definitely recommend this company for any garage door work.

He did fix the main problem that was there ever since it was installed, which was the push button pad inside the garage to open and close. The door only worked sometimes and eventually very rarely ever since it was installed. He unscrewed from the wall, push the door button up and down several times reinstall it and said it was just installed too tight. That’s why it never worked right from the beginning so very simple and that was great. While he was inspecting the door, he stated the door felt very heavy and readjusted it so that the motor would not have to work so hard, which was great since I didn’t know that and I didn’t have to ask for any additional service. I did ask about the door doing a lot of groaning and clunking which it didn’t do when it was initially installed. He did lubricate the door hinges while he was here, but it didn’t make any difference in the groaning and clunking of the door. So I’m assuming the groaning and clunking noises are just part of the door.

There was a technician at my house at 2 PM. He had it fixed and good as new in less than an hour. He was very professional, very knowledgeable, and shared some tips with me on how to maintain my garage door. Great experience.
